My name is Devin Kristofor Lulu, I am a creative professional living and working in Newark, Delaware.
My artistic journey includes, but is not limited to: pencil drawing from a very young age; excelling in and receiving a graphics award in high school; graduating with a commercial art degree; managing the design department of a community newspaper; leading design and print operations for a local graphics/printing firm; culminating in a career as a freelance graphic designer that started in 2001, as Top End Design, LLC.
It wasn’t until 2016, when my father-in-law invited me to a watercolor course instructed by Geraldine McKeown, that I discovered a passion for the transparent medium. I draw inspiration mostly from landscapes and nature, but also enjoy painting architectural, nautical and transportation related scenes. Contact me to inquire about a commission, or if interested in purchasing an original painting.
In November 2021, I received the honor of being juried a Signature Artist Member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, which was established in 1885. Visit their website at the link above to learn more about the organization.

Saunders Waterford High White CP (NOT) 140lb (300gsm)
A painting of my father-in-law surf fishing at dawn in Avalon, NJ. This was a gift for him – a gesture of my thinks for him getting me into watercolor painting, and for his instruction and guidance on that journey.

Saunders Waterford CP 140lb (300gsm)
A scene from the backroads north of Asheville, NC in late November. A place with several old, historic structures that have tons of character.
This and many of my other original watercolors (see below) are available for purchase. Please contact me for information and prices.

22×9″ (560mmx230mm)
Arches CP 140lb (300gsm)
This painting is based on a photo I took while sightseeing at Acadia National Park. The weather that day fluctuated between a thick, heavy mist and rain. I was drawn to the subtle pop of colors on the boats surrounded by the otherwise neutralized tones of the environment.
This and many of my other original watercolors (see below) are available for purchase. Please contact me for information and prices.

Baohong Rough 140lb (300gsm)
My wife and I meet with family at the beach in New Jersey each year, and on our way we always pass this seemingly forgotten about sailboat on the side of Rt. 40. This year I was prepared and was able to snap a reference photo as we drove by. There’s something about the awkwardness of a sailboat ‘docked’ among trees and weeds that I like.

Saunders Waterford High White CP (NOT) 140lb (300gsm)
The inspiration for this painting came from a recent trip to Lake Tahoe to visit family. Spent a little time each morning walking and sight-seeing, and on one of those mornings, walked along West Shore. ‘West Shore’ refers to the area between Tahoe City and Emerald Bay, and like much of Lake Tahoe, the views are beautiful in every direction.
This and many of my other original watercolors (see below) are available for purchase. Please contact me for information and prices.

Saunders Waterford White CP (NOT) 140lb (300gsm)
This watercolor painting of a male downy woodpecker is based on a photograph I took while in Washington state. For this painting, I really tried to focus on using expressive brushwork to achieve the texture and striking patterns that make this bird so eye-catching.
